Festival of national cultural centers, devoted to a Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held in Karaganda. Representatives of nine centers took part in a holiday. The festival was organized in "Sary-Zhailyau" House of Friendship. Exhibition stands with national attributes were put in spare halls. Plays, reflecting national peculiarities of Kazakhstani peoples were put on a stage.

   "Shemesh" Jewish community center put its works forward for each nomination. Marina Dzesa, a "Shemesh" JCC youth club member, a student of "Lingva" University won a contest of best knowledge of Kazakh among representatives of non indigenous population.Misha Mereminskiy and Lena Podlih with a help of Yuriy Boldirev, an actor of Drama Theatre, played a part of a play "Two Kunya-Lemels". Stela Sukhorukova, Yulya Sigal, Ruslan Homenko and kids from "Perurim" children's center participated in all games, contests and quizzes of the festival. Children's activity was marked by prizes, among which was a microwave oven, a big tea-set and three memorial diplomas.

   Favourite ensemble of Karaganda citizens "Ot Azoy" took part in the gala-concert. Irina Kozhanovskaya, Irina Revenko, Yulya Arhipova, Ivan Nebesniy performed popular songs in Yiddish and Hebrew.

   At the end of the holiday children and youth of "Shemesh" JCC got an invitation to the KVN game of Sochi team "Utomlennie solntzem".
