European musical criticism calls them: 10 voices which amazed the world. Jewish Community and not only, watches their creative searches with great interest. Astana people heard and saw them a year ago at the time of synagogue "Bait Rachel" opening. And you dear readers guessed who the speech is about?

In Women’s club of Astana JCC the musical soiree devoted to the activity of famous group, "Choir of Turetzki". The participants of the soiree, there were more than 20 persons, listened to the story about history of group creation, with great interest.

  - I attended synagogue on holidays the creator of the choir Michael Turetzki, told in interview for Russian Mass Media – That time it was titled "Gorka", in China Town. That was a middle 80th. Everybody was gathering in the streets. And old men sang in the synagogue. But I divined genius music in their singing. They sang in senile voices, and I felt the power. And one thought flashed across my mind, that it would be glad to restore the tradition. Here is right that place where should sound the luxury music. I have just croaked this idea on myself.

   During all the meeting the records of musical extracts in performance of “Choir of Turetzki”, sounded in JCC. Women stood motionless listening attentively to well-known songs words.

  - Each time, listening to this choir I wonder how much in new fashion sound favorite, since childhood, melodies. And more strikes the skill of these people to sing these songs in Hebrew, Yiddish, French, English and Russian languages – say the members of the Women’s club.

   The meeting finished with watching the film “March of Turetzki”

  - We are – a product of Russian musical school – Michael Turetzki says about himself and his colleagues. – We restored the repertoire of Jewish sacred music. That is. We have our speciality in house – our Jewish motet. But we have more. We like to sing in Hebrew, French. And at last in Russian – because it is wonderful to sing in our native language. European musical criticism calls us: 10 voices which amazed the world. We do not hesitate to be called the best. We are "Choir of Turetzki".
