Dear friends! It is pleasure for us to inform you that several FSU countries have received a letter from a family in Vancouver, Canada. Their son Keisy Lazar is going to have a Bar Mitsva on November 12, 2005. The family would like to acquaint him with a boy of the same age who is having a Bar Mitsva the same day, so that they can prepare together. They will correspond, exchange their ideas on the Torah chapter ("Lech Lecha"), discuss preparations to the ceremony and other news and events in their lives.
If there is a Kazakhstani boy who has Bar Mitsva on November 12, 2005 and is willing to communicate with Keisy, our web site can provide him with all necessary information. Looking forward to hearing from you!
And here is Keisy's letter:
"Hi! My name is Keisy Lazar. I'm writing to boys from Russia, Ukraine, and other countries of the Former Soviet Union who are going to have a Bar Mitsva on November 12, 2005. If your Bar Mitsva is the same day, we've got some 6 months to get prepared. It's great!
I'm preparing like that: I've got recordings I need to study, and I'm listening and reading them at the same time till I can do it perfectly. During the ceremony I'll have to read an extract from "Lech Lecha" and some blessings. I hope to prepare well in the time I've got.
I live in Vancouver, Canada. It's raining often in this season. I've got a younger brother, he's 10. I like playing video games and hockey. I go to Vancouver Jewish school; I study English, Hebrew, French, math and science. I can play some sax and guitar. I spend most of my time at school and in sport grounds, where I usually play hockey or football. What I like to read is mainly adventure and fantastic literature. That's what I'm keen on.
And what do you like? Do you go in for sports? What sport do you like? Do you play video games? What books do you read? Who do you prepare to your Bar Mitsva and how do you expect it to be?
Reply to me and we'll start corresponding."
