"By Roads of GULAG" named the new book, 26th on the account, Maria Terenik, honorable inhabitant of Pavlodar. The histories about each hero in this book are similar: equally ruthlessly and unexpectedly tragical Stalin reprisals of 1920-1950th years rushed in their life. On returning the forgotten names lost destinies the author carried out the large search work: each sketch - is gained confession, in which with the large gratitude listened attentively native and close of victims of political reprisals.

With each hero the author "has had been ill", her grandmother also has not avoided this fate - in 1937 in three days after arrest was shot down. One of sketches in the book is entitled "Shot down song".

This book for Maria Terenik - is continuation of the large work begun in far 1989. That time she began to publish the first sketches about victims of reprisals, which part in 1997 were included in the book "Is not subject to oblivion". And in 2001 more than twenty sketches have made the book "By Roads of GULAG", with a break of six years there was more complemented variant. It also consists of two parts: about Pavlodarians victims of reprisals and about victims of GULAG and also their families banished in Pavlodar from different areas of USSR.

After an output of the first books Maria Terenik did not stop work on returning names, heading Pavlodar republican society "Adilet". Probably, the soon complemented edition "By Roads of GULAG" can become rarity: circulation makes only 500 copies. Her last books have scattered on all country and abroad - in Russia, Israel, America, Germany and are kept in many families. Lonely thing, about what regretted on presentation, that the similar books are issued not by the state order, and group of the persons, for which history of native ground, returning of names of compatriots - is not an empty sound.
