In Jewish Community Center of Pavlodar the evening devoted to Catastrophe Day passed. A question to remember or not to remember here did not arise at all, because many participants of this measure were witnesses of those monstrous events. Their children's memoirs strong ran into memory and hardly sometime can already to let off.
The members of a community lighted candle and minute of silence in memory about lost. The youth prepared a selection from songs and verses devoted to victims of the Holocaust. They sang and read verses with such feeling, that at environmental the reliance appeared that exactly these children never can rise on the party of destruction and holocaust.
The memoirs of Valentina Sakharova - former prisoner of ghetto, and also Hanna Lobchenko and Faina Svechinskaya have not left indifferent anybody. Brushing away involuntary tears all - both youth and the old men, with a pain in heart, experienced events of bygone days.
Despite of unity of opinions in question on that terrible tragedy, what was for the Jewish people Catastrophe, it is possible to meet the various points of view concerning events, passed during Catastrophe, and conclusions, which need from it to be made. Some assert, that the Catastrophe of European Jewry more never will be repeated; others warn against its recurrence and try to prevent it. There are people considering, that the sufferings, experienced by the Jewish people during Catastrophe, make it more sensitive to misfortunes of the world and oblige to work accordingly. Others do not forget about Catastrophe for one minute and remind of it in any situation, and it is enough to them to recollect it once a year.
