One Jewish family… Only 4 men - two sons, their father and his new wife lives in Petropavlovsk. The parents of the boys are already for some years in divorce. Not under the decision of court, and at will of the mother they stayed with the father. And he not so long ago brought in their small, crude, deciduous house new hostess. In the winter to them has come to live the sick grandmother, which they have picked up in the street almost frozen.

The father constantly changes works, to be exact finds one and then at once loses it because of the ardour for alcoholic drinks. The hard drinking is tightened for weeks. Most unpleasant, that all this occurs before children's eyes. And at this particular time sons appear given to themselves. Already school for a long time is deserted, you see in the house even there is nothing to eat. A situation is critical. Rescues only that fact that Hesed knows about this family. Due to the American Jewish Distribution Committee "Joint" children each month receive food packages, and within the framework of the program SOS - coal. Therefore this winter in the house supported even comparative heat.

To show to children, that there is in life and something else, the program "Etgar" tries as often as possible to invite the boys in Day Center of Petropavlovsk Hesed. Today guys not so simply participate in holidays and are engaged in creative workshops of the centre, but also help a community as volunteers. They are the irreplaceable assistants and in repair, and in other cares. We hope, that and having grown up, both boys will continue to come in Hesed, and also will stay the same sympathetic people.
