In Literary saloon of Taraz Hesed passed the meeting devoted to Day of independence of the State Israel and Day of memory of the soldiers, lost in wars for Israel.

Since 1939 till 1945 in Europe the Second World War raged. All continent was filled with blood. These terrible years the German state conducted destructive war against the Jewish people. Nazi destroyed six millions Jews. The monstrous accident evidently has shown, that the unique decision of a problem - is creation of the independent Jewish state in Ereth-Israel, where to the Jewish people will be supplied worthy existence in conditions of freedom and safety.

November 29, 1947 the General Assembly of UN has accepted the resolution calling for creation of the Jewish state in Ereth-Israel. On the fifth day of month Iyar 5708 (May 14, 1948) National Board led by David Ben-Gurion proclaimed creation of the Jewish state in Ereth-Israel.

In some months after birth of the state of its border send armies of five Arabian states, having attacked on just born the country. The Jews had to battle for the Motherland. The country Israel the same has won this war, not having practically neither army, nor government. Has won by life of thousand Jewish warriors.

But before an official beginning of war the Arabian gangs have begun to make bloody raids on the Jewish settlements. On the eve of declaration of Independence 4 Iyar 5708 years after fierce resistance died Gush-Etzion - group of religious settlements in Judaic mountains. These people were lost, and not having learned, that in some ten hours on a card of the world will appear revived Israel. The people of Israel had to survive five wars and to gain five victories. But the date of destruction of these first victims of this first war for independence became a Remembrance Day of the soldiers lost in wars of Israel. And the next day became Day of Inde-pendence.

After small digression in the past the candles were lit and were read special Iskor for lost soldiers of Army of Defense of Israel. By minute of silence present honoured memory of Israeli soldiers, gave their life for the sake of protection of the people and the country also expressed our solidarity with families of lost.
