In the Jewish community of Petropavlovsk there is remarkable vocal group "Shalom". This group was formed more ten years ago. Despite many difficulties, collective still pleases us with their creativity. Now in repertoire of "Shalom" there are more than 50 songs in Kazakh, Russian, Yiddish, Hebrew, and Georgian and Tatar languages.

This year the group celebrated the ten years' anniversary. Joyful event has been celebrated by a miniconcert in Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan to the real delight of numerous listeners. And there are lots of admirers of collective not only in our community, but also among townsmen. Our grannies are always invited to act on various actions whether it be a scene on a city square, the children's home or a military college and then are always welcomed by applause.

We’d like to notice that our actresses are one of the most active members of our community. They are always glad to help us. Community of Petropavlovsk and all Jewish communities of Republic Kazakhstan express them huge gratitude and wish health and creative successes.
