Ted Meyers's Ninth Medical Conference was held in Kiev on May 20-22,
2003. It was there that heads of Heseds' medical programs got a chance to improve
their knowledge. Representatives of all FSU countries - about 70 people -
took part in the conference in Hesed "Avot Azriel".
Lessons
were conducted by teachers from the USA: Ted Munsat (neuropathologist), Harry
Shulnik (infectiologist), Mark Perlot (cardiologist). Their lectures were highly
professional, topical, and easily understood.
 As
a practical training a difficult case was presented. Seminar participants coped
with the task brilliantly - they made out the correct diagnosis.
Vera
Sverdlovsky conducted a meeting on the subject of new trends in medical program
development.
During coffee-breaks doctors shared their experience
and consulted the professionals from the USA. The two days passed very quickly
in spite of the rapid pace and tense schedule.
Seminar participants
parted with a desire to meet again on the Tenth (anniversary) Conference in 2004.
