On May, 22nd members of Astana Jewish community came to synagogue to take part in a holiday. Rabbi Juda Kubalkin has told story and traditions of this holiday. There was Ambassador of the state Israel in RK Israel Mei Ami and he also said some words about the holiday. This day we remember rabbi Shimon bar Johai who has ordered his disciples to have fun annually in the day of his death. Today Lag Ba-omer became the day of unity of Jews. All together made traditional fire and have fun and dance round it. All have taken part in colourful parade, children bore posters and headers.

Parade has once again shown unity of Jews. It is custom which Jews make together, showing that unity of the Jewish people. People had fun and tasty meal as it is necessary in the day of Shimon bar Johai’s memory who compared this holiday to the wedding day. Children competed in bow-shooting, the quiz has been spent. Winners received prizes.
